Jewelry care & LONGEVITY

Each Anne Hara piece is a hand-sculpted form intended to evolve with the wearer. Because our jewelry is finished with organic, high-relief textures, it will develop a unique patina over time - a process we view as the continuation of its story.

Daily Care

  • Wear: To preserve the hand-applied finish, we recommend removing your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or engaging in strenuous activity.

  • Contact: Apply perfumes, lotions, and oils before putting on your jewelry to avoid buildup within the delicate ridges of the Mitsuro Hikime grain.

  • Akoya Pearls: Pearls are organic treasures that thrive on being worn, as they absorb natural oils from your skin to maintain their luster. However, they are sensitive to the elements. To preserve their nacre, follow the "Last On, First Off" rule: put pearls on only after perfumes and lotions have dried, and make them the first thing you remove at the end of the day. Store them flat in their original box, away from harder metals, to allow the gems to breathe.

Cleaning & Storage

  • Cleaning: Gently clean your piece using a soft-bristled brush and warm, mild soapy water. Pat dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive chemical cleaners, as these can strip the intentional finish.

  • Storage: When not in use, we recommend storing pieces individually to prevent the metal from scratching against other objects.

Professional Maintenance For solid gold pieces, we recommend a professional inspection once a year to check settings and ensure the integrity of the form.
